HIGH CLEANING AT HOLY TRINITY CHURCH
From Monday, January 15th to Friday, January 19th the church will be closed for high cleaning – the first time for many years. The Thursday 10 am Holy Communion will take place at Loddington and the Friday 7.30 pm Celtic Eucharist will take place at Rushton.
THE WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
Thursday, January 18th to Thursday, January 25th
Theme this year - ‘That all may be free’ - with material chosen by Christians in the Caribbean region.
A United Service will take place at Rothwell United Reformed Church in Fox Street at 3 pm on Sunday, January 21st - do come and support.
A meeting of Churches Together in Rothwell takes place at the Vicarage on Wednesday, January 10th at 7.30 pm.
Our next Healing Eucharist at Holy Trinity will be on Saturday, January 20th at 10 am. The ministries of prayer with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil are offered to all.
TAIZE SERVICE AT THORPE MALSOR
Come to All Saints Church on Sunday, January 21st at 6 pm and enjoy prayer through song, Scripture and silence - quiet, reflective, candlelit worship based on beautiful music from the Taize Community in France.
MARRIAGE PREPARATION DAY
A special day for those to be married in our churches this year will take place at Holy Trinity on Saturday, January 27th from 11 am to 3 pm. Please pray for all our wedding couples.
Takes place on Sunday, January 28th at 6 pm as we celebrate the Feast of Candlemass.
An evocative service based on the Book of Common Prayer.
JOHN’S AT HOME
All Church Council members and their partners are invited to an At Home at the Vicarage on Saturday, February 3rd. Please let Amanda Sturgess, our Benefice Administrator, know the time you would like to come: 10 am to 12 noon, 2 pm to 4 pm, or 6 pm to 7.30 pm. Drinks and refreshments will be served.
TIME & TALENTS RENEWAL AT HOLY TRINITY
This will take place on Sunday, February 4th and Thursday, February 8th. A form will be given out for offers of time & talents – please return this by February 18th. It’s a special opportunity to commit yourself to share in the many aspects of our life and ministry and to renew what you are already doing for us.
Please bring your palm crosses to church by 11th February so that we can make the ash for Ash Wednesday.

BISHOP’S BIBLE DAY 2018
‘St Paul for Today’
At Peterborough Cathedral on Saturday 24th February or Northampton High School on Saturday 3rd March. Addresses by Bishop Donald and a wide range of workshops.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
The annual service takes place at St Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Church, Rothwell on Friday, March 2nd at 2.00 pm. Men as well as women are very welcome.
LENT QUIET MORNING
This will take place at Holy Trinity, Rothwell on Saturday, March 10th from 10.00 am to
12.30 pm. Come and go as you please – there will be a mixture of worship, meditation and silence.
Recommended this year are: ‘A place for God’ Graham James, the Bishop of Norwich (£8) and the magazine format ‘Lent Extra’ (£2.25). Please order on the list at the back of church by 4th February, where there will also be a selection of books for Lent borrowing.

WEEKDAY MORNING PRAYER
On weekdays John and Ruth would love members of the congregation to join them for Morning Prayer at 9 am in the Lady Chapel. The service lasts 30 minutes and the days it is taking place are indicated in the weekly Pew News. Please ask if you need to know the code for the side door.
Our group for children from 3 years upwards meets on the second Sunday of the month. Gather in church at 10.45 am. The aim of the Trinity Discoverers is to find out about Jesus through crafts, songs and activities. Come and enjoy!
