BISHOP’S BIBLE DAY

QUIET MORNING FOR LENT
At Holy Trinity on Saturday, March 25th from 10 am to 12.30 pm - come and go as you wish. The Quiet Morning will begin with a Eucharist for Lady Day at 10 am.
Books for Lent borrowing are to be found at the back of church.
WEEKDAY MORNING PRAYER
On weekdays John and Ruth would love members of the congregation to join them for Morning Prayer at 9 am in the Lady Chapel. The service lasts 30 minutes and the days it is taking place are indicated in the weekly Pew News. Please ask if you need to know the code for the side door.
This month our Healing Eucharist is on Saturday, March 11th at 10 am. Healing ministry – prayer with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil - is offered to all who desire it for themselves and for those whose needs are on their hearts.
Do come to Thorpe Malsor on Sunday, March 12th at 6 pm for another quiet, reflective, candlelit service in the style of the Taize community in France.
On Sunday, March 26th at 10.45 am there will be a special Family Communion service. Posies of flowers will be blessed and distributed and refreshments will follow.
This month’s Choral Evensong is on Sunday, March 26th at 6 pm. A beautiful service using the words of the Book of Common Prayer. Don’t miss it.
THIS MONTH DO PRAY FOR
Oliver, Jacob and Sam who are to be christened during March. We welcome them into the Lord’s family and pray for their parents, godparents, families and friends.
JOHN’S ORGAN PLAYING MARATHON
On Saturday, March 4th at All Saints Church, Thorpe Malsor, John Westwood will play favourite hymns from 12 pm to 4 pm. Come and choose them - refreshments will be served. Sponsorship is for All Saints Church funds.
CONCERT BY THE GUS BAND
We welcome the famous GUS Band on Saturday, March 25th at 7.30 pm. Look out for banners and posters for ticket arrangements.
As we prepare for our AGM next month it is time for all annual reports from church organisations to be sent to our PCC Secretary, Janet Clements (tel: 507721). It is also time to renew our church electoral roll - application forms are to be found at the back of church.
GOOD FRIDAY ‘HUNGER LUNCH’
Volunteers from Holy Trinity are needed please to organise lunch after the Churches Together Good Friday Service (12 pm) – this usually takes the form of soup and rolls, bread and cheese. Donations are for Christian Aid. This year the venue will be The Salvation Army, Bridge Street. Offers to John Westwood.
Our new group for children from 3 years upwards meets on the second Sunday of the month. Gather in church at 10.45 am. The aim of the Trinity Discoverers is to find out about Jesus through crafts, songs and activities. Come and enjoy!
