(for 11-16 Year olds)

Saturday 17th June 5-7pm

Dear all

Youth Group will be held again this Saturday (17th June), 5-7pm and will be another Games Evening at Thorpe Malsor Social Club.


It would be great to see you there - please bring any games you enjoy playing and the pool table will again be available.


Snacks and drinks will be provided.


Hoping to see you there.

PRAYER TIME FOR OUR TOWN


We gather again at the Salvation Army on Thursday, June 1st from 12 pm to 1 pm to pray for our town and its future.  All most welcome.


COFFEE MORNING

At Holy Trinity on Saturday, June 3rd from 10 am.  Come and support our charity of the month.


A FOND FAREWELL

We bid farewell to Majors Richard & Pauline Cook from the Salvation Army who retire this month.  Thanks to their vision the Salvation Army have a wonderful renewed church and community centre in Bridge Street.  We shall miss them greatly - and not least their commitment to Churches Together.

THE MINISTRY OF HEALING

Our next Eucharist with the Ministry of Healing is on Saturday, June 10th at 10 am. Prayer with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil is offered to all who desire healing for themselves and for others whose needs are on their hearts.

BENEFICE QUIET DAY


This takes place at Little Gidding on Saturday, June 17th from 10 am to 4pm, and this year will be led by John.  Please book your places as soon as possible - £26, including coffee, cooked lunch and tea.  Transport can be arranged.


 


SINGAPORE CONCERT


Friday, June 23rd at 7 pm at Holy Trinity Church.


Pianists and string players from Forte Music academy, Singapore and LES Music School.


This is a prelude to the Great Bowden Music Fest which takes place from July 6th to July 9th.

 RUTH’S ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD


Ruth will be ordained priest at Peterborough Cathedral on Saturday, June 24th at 4 pm: all are most welcome at this very special service.  If you intend coming please sign the list at the back of church:  transport can then be arranged/shared.  Do keep Ruth and her family in your prayers.


 


RUTH PRESIDES AT COMMUNION FOR THE FIRST TIME


at a United Benefice Communion at Holy Trinity on Sunday, June 25th at 10.30 am.


The service will be followed by a bring & share Buffet Lunch with wine – Brenda Austin is kindly co-ordinating this for us on behalf of all the parishes.


 


OUR NEXT CHORAL EVENSONG


will take place on Sunday, June 25th at 6 pm.


 


CONCERT BY GREAT BOWDEN RECITAL TRUST


There is a Celebration of Music for all the family at Holy Trinity on Saturday, July 1st at


7.30 pm.  All welcome – admission free with retiring collection.


 


THE BONE CRYPT


To repeat the message in last month’s magazine:  we have lots of visitors to the church and bone crypt on Sunday afternoons from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.  We urgently need more volunteers to sign up and be stewards!  Please give it a try.




 



 



 



 


SPONSORED WALK BY CANON ROGER KNIGHT


Roger Knight, formerly Rector of Burton Latimer and of Irthlingborough, is doing a five day sponsored walk for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of his wife Ann.


As part of this he will be coming to Pipewell on Sunday, May 28th for a 9.30 am Holy Communion service and then walking on to Stoke Albany.  We are invited to join him at Pipewell, and walk with him.  There is a sponsor form at the back of church.


 


BENEFICE CONFIRMATION SERVICE


Bishop John Flack will be coming to Loddington on Sunday, May 28th at 5 pm to Confirm four adult candidates – two from Loddington and two from Rothwell.  All are welcome at the service which will be followed by tea & cake.

RUTH’S ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD

10.30 am, followed by a buffet lunch.  Book both dates in your diaries now.


 

 

WEEKDAY MORNING PRAYER

On weekdays John and Ruth would love members of the congregation to join them for Morning Prayer at 9 am in the Lady Chapel.  The service lasts 30 minutes and the days it is taking place are indicated in the weekly Pew News.  Please ask if you need to know the code for the side door.




TRINITY DISCOVERERS


Our group for children from 3 years upwards meets on the second Sunday of the month. Gather in church at 10.45 am. The aim of the Trinity Discoverers is to find out about Jesus through crafts, songs and activities. Come and enjoy!

The Bone Crypt to be open every Sunday from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
