Holy Trinity has a fine ring of 10 bells which are well known for their ease to ring and their wonderful sound. We have an active band of ringers and learners who ensure the bells are rung each Sunday morning for service and for other special occasions.

In addition to the ring of 10 bells, we have two bells that enable us to ring a lighter peal of 8 when the situation arises.

For teaching and training we have a computerised ringing simulator and dumb bell that are used for basic handling practise. The tower is registered with the Central Council of Church Bellringers as a Ringing Centre

Sunday service ringing

Service ringing is between 10:00 – 10:45. There is no ringing on the 5th Sunday of the month as there is no service in the church.

Practice night

Our practice night is Wednesday evening 7 – 9:15pm. The first hour of the evening is dedicated to teaching and training of less experienced ringers moving onto more advanced method ringing from 8pm.

Visiting ringers are always welcome for either service ringing or on practice night. Please would you let us know if you wish to join our band as we have a secure door entry on practice night and arrangements will need to be made to gain access.

New ringers are always welcome and badly needed. If you wish to come along to see what is involved or just to have a look at the bells, please contact either the tower captain or secretary to arrange a visit.
